I use acrylic paints on a an 8.6 x 16.5 inch piece of wood.

Wood Art

I carve highlights into the wood to give the painting a
different look and feel to the art.
These two paintings still have a ways to go before they
are finished. I paint, carve, paint, carve, adding more paint
and carving out bits of lines and other details as I work
on the painting.

Carved Wood

A work in progress.
"Onion Girl Rides on her Red Pigeon".
Acrylic paints on wood.
I carved highlights into the wood to give the painting
a bit more character and a little depth.
In the red tail photo above, you can see the black lines are also carved
into the wood. (Click on the photo for a larger photo.)
The painting is not quite finished; I have some more painting to do
and add some coats of varnish.

Start

Early in the process of painting of five new works on wood.
I carve into the wood details of the art, then add more
layers of acrylic paint.

New Prints

Two new limited-edition on canvas prints:
"Goes well with the Couch."
and
"Number 27 of 599.".

Only 25 prints of each. 39.6 x 39.6 inches / 100 x 100 cm.
Price is $525.00 each, plus shipping.

This one is on the easel drying (and upside-down).
I have just sketched in the different parts and putting on first wash.
